THE ALTAR FLOWERS The flowers today are placed in the sanctuary to the glory of God in Celebration of Stephanie Besler’s 7th birthday.

CHRISTMAS TREES – It is time to decorate the sanctuary for the Advent and Christmas seasons.  We will set up the trees and change banners on Saturday, Nov. 24th at 9am.  If you would like to help, please call Mike Price.

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM – We are looking for a volunteer or two to help the children rehearse the Christmas program during the Sunday School hour if you would like to help, please see Jamie Adamik.

COOKS WANTED: We will need volunteers, again this year, to cook for special occasions.  If you are interested, please contact Ron Denny at 734-676-0214 or rdenny@wowway.com.

THE CHURCH OFFICE – will be closed on Wednesday, November 21st and Thursday, November 22nd.

TRENTON FOOD PANTRY—Each week, we collect canned goods and fresh fruit for the Trenton Food Pantry.  The Sunday school students also bring in a canned good as their offering for the week.  The food is then delivered to the pantry each Thursday by Marge Barrett.  Suggested items include:  Hot and cold cereals, canned meats, boxed pasta dinners, and soups.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES will be at 5pm, 7pm and 11pm.

LUMINARIES – Each Christmas Eve, we line the sidewalks with beautiful luminaries.  We are in need of someone to help coordinate the setting up and lighting of the luminaries.  If you would like to help, please see Pastor Heather.

ADOPT –A-FAMILY Tags are now available.  When you take a tag, please be sure to sign the register so that we can keep track of who has which tag.  All gifts are to be returned, unwrapped by Sunday December 2 by 12 noon even if you are wrapping the gifts that evening.  The gifts can be returned any weekend up to December 2nd.

We have 9 different households that we have adopted and we must be able to sort and box the gifts before the people come to wrap.  Your cooperation will be appreciated.

Gift boxes are needed.  We need gift boxes, in particular coat boxes and all other sizes.  They can be left in the Narthex under the coat rack.

Wrapping the gifts:  Volunteers are needed to wrap the gifts for the families that we have adopted.  We will meet Sunday December 2nd at 5pm. for pizza and will start to wrap immediately following (about 5:20).  Please see the sign-up sheet on the Social Ministry Bulletin Board. The more volunteers we have the quicker the wrapping goes.

FOOD PANTRY – St. Philip is now hosting a weekly food pantry.  Each week, we feed between 8-12 families, and the number continues to grow.  If you would like to support this growing ministry financially, you may put money in the large baby bottle in the Narthex or you may write a check (please put Food Pantry in the memo line) and put it in the offering plate.  If you have questions or if you would like to volunteer at the pantry, please see Jan McIntee.

SAVE THIS DATE –  For Pastor Heather’s baby shower, January 20th at 12:30.  At the Westfield Center in the fireplace room.  More details will follow.
